Osas Ighodaro

Founder of the Joyful Joy Foundation, Osas Ighodaro was born and raised in the Bronx. She hails from an entirely Nigerian born family. As a Nigerian-American, Osas strongly values the importance of family, giving back and staying connected to her roots.

Osas graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and dual minor degrees in Entrepreneurship and Theatre. She then continued on to earn a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the Actor's Studio Drama School at Pace University. Her work as an actor, spokesperson, humanitarian and Miss Black USA 2010 have carried her throughout the United States and across the globe.

As she travels, she continues to promote her passions of ending hunger, preventable disease and supporting sustainable growth and development in communities of Africa living below the poverty line.  Osas is committed to making a difference in the world each and every day, one community at a time.
