We are so excited to be presenting our LAUGH FEST Stand-Up Comedy Fundraiser. It's Comedy with a Heart! You get to laugh and have a great time, while your financial support helps to Spread More Joy!
Proceeds from this event support the Joyful Joy Foundation’s Adopt-a-Clinic Program.
Joyful Joy’s Laugh Fest stand-up comedy fundraiser will be presented on stage at the Gramercy Theater, Friday April 26th, 2013, 8pm-10pm. The evening will feature a power packed line-up of comedians: Capone, just off a 2-year tour with Shaquille O'Neal’s All-Star Comedy Tour, will host and headline the show. Additional talent will include, “African King of Comedy” Michael Blackson, Smokey Suarez, Idriss, Kenny Woo and more, with music provided by, DJ Mike Neeze.
With a commitment to transforming health care and reducing poverty in Africa, JJF utilizes the arts as a bridge between entertainment, fundraising, and intervention. Laugh Fest symbolizes comedy with a heart, and encourages its audience to spend their time, money and energy in a socially conscious way. Guests and contributors are invited to be supremely entertained, while knowing that their support will have a long-term impact on saving lives.
100% of all proceeds from the Laugh Fest will fund JJF’s Adopt-a-Clinic Program. The adopted health care facility will be supported with supplies, medical staff training and additional provisions to increase the facility's capacity to sustainably provide a more reliable package of health care services and operate more efficiently. JJF’s initial effort will be launched in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, an area with one of the highest rates of malaria infection in the world.
